In the early 1990s, Burton often held a preseason camps at the Magic Mountain half-pipe, so riders from the area often poached the pipe. The real attraction at Magic, however, was a railing that led from the parking lots to the main lodge. The pedestrian railing was “super long, twisty, not very steep but just really long and twisty.”Jason Ford recalled, “And when the jibbing era came on, it was all about who could conquer the Magic rail. And I don’t think anybody ever got it.” Any more photos out there? Any tales to share about the magic rail?
